Justification
This information is processed according to Article 6 of the General Data Protection Regulation for the following reasons:
- As necessary for the performance of tasks carried out in the public interest, in this case the disbursement of charitable funds to a variety of registered charities who meet the Trust’s charitable objects, and to whom our Trustees have approved a grant;
- As necessary in the pursuit of the legitimate interests of the charity, in this case, to acquire the information necessary to process grant applications;
- For compliance with legal obligations, in this case to provide full and accurate information to the Charity Commission of England and Wales and Companies House concerning the Trustees/Directors of the Trust.
Retention Period
Beacon Lodge Charitable Trust reserves the right to hold data related to grant applications for archive purposes and in order to facilitate a high standard of due diligence which will enable the trust to continue to fulfil its charitable objects.
Personal Data Security
We will take reasonable technical and organisational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information.
Beacon Lodge Charitable Trust will store all the personal data you provide on its secure services and an additional back up on a hard drive. This information is protected using both password management tools and data encryption.
Disclosures
We may disclose information about you to any of our Trustees as reasonably necessary for the purposes as set out in this privacy statement.
In addition, we may disclose your personal information:
- To the extent that we are required to do so by law;
- In connection with any legal proceedings or prospective legal proceedings;
- In order to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights.
Except as provided in this privacy statement, we will not provide your information to third parties.
